Dominique Piwnica

Dominique Piwnica devotes all her time and energy to family law. Her activities within the Paris bar in the field of family law enhance her current family practice.

Dominique Piwnica is deeply involved in the issues and challenges of new thinking on family law. She has taken an active part in the French family law review process known as Etats Généraux du Droit de la Famille, has published many articles in learned journals, and is a noted speaker in public and private debate on these issues. She has also participated in numerous Continuing Legal Education events in the fields of family law and legal ethics.

  • Member of the Council of the Order of the Paris Bar (2004-2007), Ethics Secretary (2007), delegated by the President to represent the Council in disciplinary matters (since 2008) and member of the Family Law Commission (since 2003)
  • Member of the advisory council of the National Bar Council (since 2009).
  • Member of the Scientific Committee of the Institute of Law of the Family and Patrimony
  • Member of a committee charged with the family law review process.
  • Participation in colloquia and numerous Continuing Legal Education events of the Paris Bar

  • Collaboration on the New Code of Ethics annotated by Professor Thierry REVET for the Paris Bar Association.
